McEwen Northside is an inviting urban experience in the vibrant Cool Springs area of Franklin, Tennessee. Part of a 45-acre mixed-use environment, Block A includes approximately 160,000 square feet of Class-A office space over street retail space, two first-to-market restaurants, and a parking structure to accommodate the needs of the office, retail, restaurants, and an adjacent hotel.
Designing four different buildings requires a deft touch to make them cohesive in the larger master plan as originally envisioned by Kiser-Vogrin Design (KVD). The team approached the design of the vertical structures in close collaboration with KVD. The spaces and edges of the building are thoughtfully considered within the overall context of the streetscape and pedestrian experience. Block A’s office building creates an iconic corner for the first major structure visitors to McEwen Northside will visually experience. At street level, the retail is being designed to relate to the pedestrian level activity by scale and form.
