The Design Solution

The new four-bay facility includes 14 bunk rooms with two captains. With the front apron as the driving factor, it sits 70 feet from the sidewalk to allow the fire department to pull their largest piece of equipment out of the bays — solving a challenge at the old facility.

Understanding that the trucks have trouble navigating steep slopes due to their size, TMP worked with the department to understand the limitations and with the contractor to efficiently balance cut and fill on the site.
