The Design Solution
TMP’s design increased the total room capacity and maximized private exam rooms to reduce wait times and upgrade the patient experience.
The reimagined layout features a racetrack design with nurse stations centrally located on either end of the department. The parking lot, which was originally designed for patient use, was transformed into a valet lot, allowing them to drop off cars at the walk-in canopy.
TMP worked directly with the owner, ACHA, the general contractor, and other Ocala city agencies to review the current design plans and limit the scope as not to trigger a full redesign. We kept communication open and provided any additional information needed to keep the project on schedule — saving a minimum of an additional three months for the client while keeping design intent intact.
