The Challenge
Community Medical Center is a premiere healthcare organization in Western Montana, offering specialties and technology often found in major cities. TMP was engaged to help the hospital with several projects, including expanding emergency services and designing a new outpatient heart center for exceptional cardiac care.

The Design Solution
The hospital’s emergency department addition and renovation included a new walk-in entrance and ambulance garage, making it easier for patients to quickly find where they need to go. Twelve exam rooms, two trauma rooms, and two behavioral health flex exam rooms were added to serve mental health patients in a safe environment.
The Heart Center was designed with staff and patients in mind, focusing on efficiency, ease of wayfinding, and comfort. The scenic, light-filled lobby and interior finishes were inspired by the surrounding mountain landscape and natural light.
For both projects, TMP worked closely with hospital staff to meet design goals and keep things on schedule.
