The Design Solution
TMP designed academic Building III, also known as the Hyatt-Spivey Center, which more than doubled the square footage of classroom, lab, and student services space. The main floor is dedicated to expanding student services with a library, computer space, financial center, career center, and tutoring space. A flexible assembly space opens to an exterior deck for student learning or community events.
Upper floors of the Hyatt-Spivey Center house faculty offices, health science labs, mechatronics labs, general classrooms, and student collaboration spaces.

The Design Impact
Along with an enhanced learning experience for MSCC students, the building elevates the campus to be more pedestrian-friendly with a new tree-lined boulevard and central lawn.
The addition of the Hyatt-Spivey Center allowed two existing buildings to be renovated for increased space to support student services and the growing nursing program at MSCC.
