The newly designed two-bay facility accommodates eight fire personnel in private bunk rooms and includes a kitchen, day room, physical agility room, and associated support spaces.
A 24-person training room offers a central space for department training and doubles as a community space that citizens can use. The exterior of the station was designed to blend in with the surrounding residential and commercial buildings through a timeless aesthetic.

The Design Impact
Fire Station 4 will set a precedent for future development in the area and future Town of Smyrna fire stations. The Town of Smyrna plans to eventually use the site as a multi-agency facility with space for a police precinct and county-owned EMS station.
