Grand Strand Medical Center is the largest hospital in the Myrtle Beach area and serves a fast-growing region of South Carolina. TMP has a long-standing relationship with the hospital. Intelligent planning to support continued growth at the main hospital site has been essential.

The Design Solution
TMP developed a facility master plan for the hospital. Over several decades, we designed and executed multiple projects to support facility growth.
TMP has designed over 200,000 square feet of expansion space including bed towers, vertical expansion, surgical services expansion, establishment of new service lines, emergency department expansion, and a new remote central energy plant. Support services projects have been designed and implemented to support the additional bed growth. Site planning has been paramount, and our planning efforts have included an expandable multi-story parking structure.
