The Design Solution
Located between the Gulch and 12 South neighborhoods in Nashville, the design of the precinct was influenced by these two distinct areas, incorporating urban, visual elements.
The one-story structure includes patrol, shift and detective offices, exercise and locker rooms, and a community room for public meetings or events. The low end of the site includes an informal community amphitheater, which helps to balance the surrounding urban hardscape.
The layout allows for ample natural light and several sustainability features were incorporated, earning the building LEED Gold certification.
