TMP completed renovations of the existing Women’s Services department to establish a neonatal intensive care unit at LewisGale Health’s flagship facility in Salem, Virginia.

More than 13 years in the making, the 3,000-square-foot state-of-the-art space features a modern design and six isolated bassinets with space to expand if needed. The NICU will be used to treat premature infants and newborns with infections, breathing difficulties, growth restrictions, and maternal health concerns. A skylight provides much-needed natural light to the patient care and provider work area.
